John and his team have been our property manager and also our realtor for many years. They consistently provide extraordinarily and responsive service with great knowledge of local neighborhoods and resources. It has been a great pleasure to work with John and his team.

A couple years ago, my cousin died. She had managed a family property for many years. Suddenly it was up to me and some other family members to take over managing that property. Unfortunately, unlike my late cousin, none of us live in proximity to this property. We either had to sell the property, or I had to find a property manager to handle this task. In the small town (Marquette, Michigan) where this property is, I was able to locate two property managers, both of whom I interviewed. One was John DeMay of ProEx Realty. After talking with him and the other manager, John was clearly the choice. It wasn't just his extensive knowledge and familiarity with the local area. What I was most impressed with was John's very common sense, reasonable and human approach to the process of managing a property. Although John is a former cop, he doesn't not come off as authoritarian, as did the other manager I spoke with. John brings a calm, respectful attitude to the table. As does his associate, Wendy. The last year has been bumpy, as we had to deal with tenants we "inherited". John and Wendy managed them firmly but patiently, keeping their focus on the longer term when they would be able to replace these difficult tenants with more responsible and respectful tenants. As of this month, just such tenants have moved in. John and Wendy advised me on a few upgrades that the house needed in order to justify a small increase in the rent. Meanwhile they searched for and found four excellent tenants. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the job that John (and his associate Wendy) have done managing this property. And the other family members involved feel the same

John personally responded to a frozen water pipe in the early morning hours, directing and assisting the residents while procuring the necessary resources to address the situation. John's property management division also had services available as lawn management, painting and handyman repairs. We would ask John to assist in any additional purchases and property management because he made himself personally available and directly addressed our needs.
